ARN and Australian Open extend partnership until 2026
Australian Radio Network (ARN) and the Australian Open have extended their partnership for a further three years, maintaining its status as the Official Audio Partner until after the 2026 tournament.
The partnership will be brought to life across The KIIS Network, Pure Gold and iHeart, with all three brands broadcasting specially curated content across the two weeks of the tournament. ARN will also be the home for a range of on-air ticket giveaways, with KIIS 101.1 leading the charge on the ground in Melbourne. The station will host listener-interactive competitions and content across their stable of shows, alongside live updates throughout competition days. Content will also feature on KIIS 1065 in Sydney, KIIS 97.3 in Brisbane and Mix102.3 in Adelaide.
GOLD104.3 will give listeners chances to win tickets to The Australian Open, including the Men’s and Women’s Finals. The station’s news team will provide hourly updates across the event, with WSFM also joining the festivities with special Australian Open news extensions within their daily sports updates.
The Australian Open’s radio station ‘AO Radio’ will again be available to stream via the free iHeart app, alongside the Australian Open podcast ‘The AO Show.’ ARN's iHeart will also activate for the first time within the AO precinct as the entertainment partner for Bar Atrium, offering guests an elevated option for catching a drink with friends before or after a game.
Daily iHeartLIVE Sessions will provide the soundtrack to Bar Atrium with live entertainment across the day and evening, including a residency from DJ Nina Las Vegas on key nights across the festival.
"After a highly successful inaugural year of partnering with the Australian Open, ARN is thrilled to announce the extension of this remarkable collaboration," ARN Chief Strategy & Connections Officer Lauren Joyce said.
"The Australian Open has not only become an integral part of Melbourne's summer culture but also holds a special place in the hearts of the entire nation. We are looking forward to immersing ourselves once again in the excitement of this prestigious event and are committed to bringing this experience to life in an even bigger and better way than last year.'
Tennis Australia Chief Commercial Officer Cedric Cornelis said it's excited to extend the relationship with the ARN network and continue to expand the partnership.
"After a fantastic first year, we look forward to working closely with ARN again and their great breadth of networks including KIIS, Pure Gold and iHeart to continue engaging fans in a fun and entertaining way, while continuing to broaden and diversify our audience," he said.
ARN’s partnership with the Australian Open officially kicks off from 14 to 28 January 2024 and can be heard on KIIS 101.1, GOLD104.3 and the free iHeart app. Chances to win tickets across the Grand Slam will begin later this year.
