Threadicated: AI-powered fashion stylist platform launches AI Christmas gift vouchers
Threadicated, an AI-powered online personal styling service likened to the 'Hello Fresh' of fashion, is introducing AI-powered Christmas Gift Vouchers this season.
The $500 gift card provides personalised styling, five curated items, and shipping, offering a personalised gift solution that aims to reduce waste and increase satisfaction.
'Our unique AI-powered system is taking online shopping to the next level. It offers a two-in-one gift - new clothes that are entirely personalised to the recipient's body and style,' said founder Danielle Johansen. Threadicated recently attracted financial backing from Wollemi Capital Group. The platform's catalogue boasts about 50,000 products from over 150 brands and suppliers.
According to Threadicated's data, 70% of Australians prefer to use AI as their go-to fashion stylist. The platform attracts approximately 200 customers a month, 70% of them returning for more than one order. It currently has a 72% retention rate, with projections indicating an 80% retention rate by Christmas.
Interestingly, 78% of male users hail from metro regions, primarily using the platform to update their wardrobes.
The AI gift voucher initiative is backed by research from The Australian Institute revealing that nearly three in ten Australians (30%), approximately 7.3 million people, receive gifts during Christmas that they never expect to use or wear. This results in a staggering $980 million worth of wasted presents.
'What ends up in landfills is alarming. This is the beauty of purchasing a voucher to such a personalised service that accurately predicts what Aussie men and women are really looking for,' Johansen said.
