Taboola appoints former Yahoo exec Sebastian Graham to lead agency development
Taboola, which provides recommendations for the open web, is expanding its advertising operations in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. The company has appointed former Yahoo executive, Sebastian Graham, as the new APAC Director of Agency Development.
In his new role, Graham will be responsible for establishing Taboola’s APAC agency development team and fostering further partnerships between Taboola and agencies, brands, and technology partners. This move is seen as a strategic step in strengthening Taboola's foothold in the APAC region.
Graham brings nearly two decades of experience in senior agency, marketing, media, and tech roles across Australia, New Zealand, and APAC. Prior to joining Taboola, he held the position of Director – Native APAC at Yahoo, where he reportedly delivered the highest product growth of any region for the business.
Taboola has recently announced momentum and new technology to support agencies, including its Generative AI technology and performance advertising-focused bidding technology, Maximize Conversions. The company's platform, powered by artificial intelligence, is utilised by digital properties to drive monetisation and user engagement.
More than 15,000 advertisers reportedly use Taboola to reach over 500 million daily active users. Following the acquisition of Connexity in 2021, Taboola has positioned itself as a leader in powering e-commerce recommendations, driving more than 1 million monthly transactions.
