CleverAds appoints Areef Vohra as Commercial Director
Programmatic adtech platform, CleverAds, has named Areef Vohra as its new Commercial Director, as the business looks to continue its rapid expansion through the APAC region.
Vohra, who has a strong background in digital advertising strategy and has held prominent roles in the programmatic space, will spearhead all commercial elements of CleverAds' product set. He joins the business from SSP Lemma, where he has been Country Manager for ANZ for more than a year.
As Commercial Director, Vohra's responsibilities will include expanding the company's reach across both the buy and sell side while reinforcing its commitment to 'clean programmatic'. Launched in February 2024, CleverAds distinguishes itself with its emphasis on transparent opt-in site lists, high viewability thresholds, and premium creative executions.
Co-founder of CleverAds, Gavin Merwood, will transition to the role of CEO as a result of the appointment. "Areef's track record in driving growth and innovation in digital advertising aligns perfectly with our vision for CleverAds. We are excited to welcome him aboard," said Merwood.
