Streem extends media monitoring rights with Sky News Australia
Real-time media monitoring company Streem has renewed its multi-year partnership with Sky News Australia, extending its exclusive media monitoring rights.
The renewed partnership will enable corporate and government customers in Australia and New Zealand to maintain access to the Sky News Australia 24-hour news channel through Streem’s media monitoring, analytics and reporting platform.
Streem, a subsidiary of Cision, will remain the only media monitoring organisation in the Australian and New Zealand market licensed to provide corporate customers with full content from Sky News Australia’s 24-hour subscription television news channel. Government customers of Streem will also continue to receive the same ongoing access to Sky News Australia content.
President at Cision, Elgar Welch, said: “Sky News continues to be a critical source of information for both corporate and government customers in ANZ. With a busy calendar of elections in Australia and globally, and daily original journalism across the country, customers have access to realtime, breaking information through Streem’s continued investment in this partnership with Sky News Australia.”
Since its launch in 2017, Streem has disrupted the industry by integrating real-time media monitoring, social, analytics and media outreach tools into a single platform. Today, more than 800 corporate and government organisations use Streem across Australia and New Zealand.
Chief Executive Officer, Sky News Australia, Paul Whittaker, said: “We’re pleased to be continuing our partnership with Streem, providing media monitoring access to Sky News content to leading Australian corporate organisations. Sky News is unrivalled in bringing audiences live breaking news, astute analysis and thoughtful commentary that resonates with millions of Australians. As the US Presidential Election race enters its final stages, and closer to home State and Federal political leaders step up their campaigns to win the hearts and minds of voters, our expert team will continue to deliver comprehensive coverage with local context on the issues and ideas set to impact our nation for years to come.”
