Miro transforms innovation management with Intelligent Canvas

Customer data platform Miro has launched a new product that allows teams to manage their entire innovation lifecycle in a single place, from Discovery (brainstorming and ideation) to Definition (synthesising and decision-making) to Delivery (execution). The business is positioning the new product, Intelligent Canvas, as its most significant update since 2011.

The Intelligent Canvas is built on three fundamental beliefs: cross-functional work is crucial at all stages of the process, the canvas is a key element to unlock deeper workflows, and AI needs to be in the critical path of how people work to truly fulfil its potential. The canvas consists of three areas: Updating the Canvas, Adding composable workflows to the canvas, and AI.

Miro's Intelligent Canvas is designed to support business processes beyond the brainstorming phase. It combines AI, composable workflows, and a more intuitive, interactive experience to drive higher team productivity. The Intelligent Canvas is powered by Miro AI to help teams complete the tedious and time-consuming work that slows down ideation and decision-making.

Miro's user experience becomes simpler and more engaging while providing focused ways of working and more context for teams that work on projects together in Miro. Miro’s new Canvas SDK allows teams to create custom workflows for all stages of the innovation process.

"True innovation requires cross-functional teams to focus on solving hard, complex problems. And innovation often stalls because it requires a lot of manual work across many different apps and tools,” said Miro CPTO, Jeff Chow.

WebMD Vice President of Global Product, Sandrine Veillet, said: "The ability to easily translate insights and decisions from our discovery activities to delivery tasks directly in Miro will help us speed our velocity – not only by breaking silos between Miro and other tools, but also by keeping us all aligned on sprint priorities.”
