OpenAI and Condé Nast strike deal to enhance AI-driven news discovery, tests SearchGPT

OpenAI has announced a partnership with Condé Nast, a move aimed at integrating content from brands such as Vogue, The New Yorker, Condé Nast Traveller, GQ, Architectural Digest, Vanity Fair, Wired, Bon Appétit, and more within OpenAI's products, including ChatGPT and the SearchGPT prototype.

The collaboration is part of OpenAI's efforts to enhance AI-driven news discovery and delivery.

OpenAI is testing new search features in its SearchGPT prototype to make finding information and reliable content sources faster and more intuitive. SearchGPT offers direct links to news stories, enabling users to explore more in-depth content directly from the source. OpenAI plans to integrate the best features of SearchGPT into ChatGPT in the future.

"We're committed to working with Condé Nast and other news publishers to ensure that as AI plays a larger role in news discovery and delivery, it maintains accuracy, integrity, and respect for quality reporting." said Brad Lightcap, COO, OpenAI.

OpenAI is collaborating with news partners, including Condé Nast, to collect feedback and insights on the design and performance of SearchGPT. The aim is to ensure that these integrations enhance user experiences and inform future updates to ChatGPT. Condé Nast joins a growing list of publishers including Associated Press, Axel Springer, The Atlantic, Dotdash Meredith, Financial Times, Le Monde, News Corp, Prisa Media, TIME, Vox Media, and others, in OpenAI's mission to integrate journalism more deeply with AI services.
