Taboola's data reveals Australia in top 6 countries for interest in Pride-related topics
Taboola, a global leader in powering recommendations for the open web, has released data from its network of more than 500 million daily active users on Pride-related topics.
The data, released during the second half of Pride Month, shows Australia ranking 6th globally in readership for the term 'Pride', with 71,000 page views in the last 90 days. The USA topped the list with 2.4 million page views, followed by the UK (588,000) Brazil (388,000), India (245,000) and Italy (127,000).
France was the most-read-about Pride parade globally, seeing a 1,058% increase in readership, followed by Berlin's Christopher Street Day in Germany and the Birmingham Pride in the UK.
Brands that saw readership spikes from their 2023 Pride campaigns in the US included Vans (31%), Madewell (34%), and The North Face (78%), comparing readership from February-April 2023 to May-July 2023.
The top three trending pro-LGBTQ shows to watch this year by page views (US data) were the Eurovision Song Contest with 1.1 million page views in the last 90 days, RuPaul’s Drag Race with 212,000 page views, and dark comedy Hacks with 186,000 page views.
