Val Morgan has reported a successful launch of 'Inside Out 2', a family blockbuster that has taken the box office by storm. The film recorded over 503,000 admissions on its opening weekend, a result 2.5 times greater than its predecessor. This impressive performance marks the highest opening weekend since 'Barbie' in July 2023.

'Inside Out 2' also holds the title for the highest opening weekend of 2024, surpassing 'Dune: Part Two'. The film's global debut was a staggering $295 million, making it the highest global animated opening of all time. The domestic performance of 'Inside Out 2' delivered over 503K in its opening weekend, with strong representation amongst families (41% P25-54).

The film ranks third highest within the Pixar family, falling behind 'Incredibles 2' and 'Finding Dory'. When considering all Walt Disney Animation Studios/Pixar releases, 'Inside Out 2' has the fourth-highest opening weekend ever, joining the ranks of 'Frozen 2'.
