ADF, VML, Sitecore launch redesigned careers website to boost Defence recruitment
The Australian Defence Force (ADF) has collaborated with creative company VML and digital experience software partner Sitecore to revamp its careers website to facilitate more intuitive and in-depth exploration of career and job roles, marking a key development in the ADF's recruitment strategy.
The ADF has set ambitious recruitment targets for 2030, and the new website is a crucial component in achieving these goals. The platform's design and strategy were informed by an 18-month research program, ensuring a candidate-first approach to acquisition marketing.
"The Australian Defence Force has ambitious recruitment targets to achieve by 2030 and this requires a bold and candidate-first approach to acquisition marketing. The new ADF Careers website represents a key milestone in the evolution of Defence Force Recruiting’s offering," said Commodore Royal Australian Navy and Director General DFR, Jan Wiltshire.
The website features real stories from serving ADF personnel, immersive content in an experience hub, and a career match tool that suggests potential job roles to prospects. It is built on Sitecore XP 10.3, a robust design system and headless technical architecture.
Chief Experience Officer at VML, Miles Cox, said: "A role in the ADF is more than a job, it’s a career where you can make a real impact. The new ADF Careers website showcases what life in the ADF is like in a more human way, providing candidates with tools and information at every stage of their journey so that they’re confident and excited to embark on a career where they will make a real difference. We’re very proud to have launched a platform that supports DFR in building the ADF’s future workforce."
The launch of the ADF Careers website follows the recent unveiling of the Royal Australian Air Force's new brand campaign in March. VML, a leading creative company, combines brand experience, customer experience, and commerce to drive growth. Sitecore is a leading end-to-end digital experience software partner.
"Sitecore is proud to be part of and support the Australian Defence Force’s new initiatives to increase recruitment and deliver a more intuitive and personalised candidate experience. We are committed to supporting our customers by giving them the power and flexibility to build intuitive digital experiences on a platform that scales with their objectives," said , President, APAC and Japan, Sitecore, Joey Lim.
