New chapter begins.
Kyle & Jackie O Melbourne debut set for late April
Australian Radio Network's (ARN's) Kyle & Jackie will commence broadcasting in Melbourne from Monday 29 April, at 6:00am.
The confirmation of the show's Melbourne debut comes months after Kyle Sandilands and Jackie 'O' Henderson first announced they would be expanding into the breakfast slot in the Melbourne market in November, as part of their new 10 year contract with ARN.
Since its inception on KIIS 1065 in 2014, the Kyle & Jackie O Show has been a significant player in the Australian radio landscape. The show, which has consistently held the #1 FM breakfast show title for 40 surveys in a row, had a peak audience share of 17.9% in June 2023 and a record-breaking cumulative audience of 921,000 listeners.
The Kyle & Jackie O Show will be broadcast on KIIS 101.1 Melbourne and KIIS 1065 Sydney every weekday morning from 6.00 am starting April 29. Highlights from each day’s show are replayed across the KIIS Network nationally at 6.00 pm, or can be listened to via the free iHeart app.
“It doesn't matter what you've heard and what the newspaper or this person or some other radio station says, we're not here to change your mind," said Sandilands. "We're just going to give you a very different type of radio show. I'm not saying the other ones are the worst shows in the world because they're not. They've been great, but we just offer something different.”
“We're looking forward to finally broadcasting into Melbourne. We're excited," said Henderson.
