SAP ANZ ushers in new era with Angela Colantuono at the helm
SAP, the multinational software corporation, has announced a significant leadership change in its Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) operations, appointing Angela Colantuono as the new President and Managing Director locally.
Colantuono steps into the shoes of Damien Bueno, who is stepping down after a six-year tenure.
Colantuono joined SAP in 2017 and has a proven track record within the company. She has held roles as Vice President and Head of SAP SuccessFactors for Australia and New Zealand, and most recently as Head of SAP SuccessFactors HXM for Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ). Prior to this, she spent 16 years with Oracle including strategic account then general management divisional roles.
Her appointment is seen as a strategic move to bolster SAP's growth in ANZ, which is considered a key market unit for the APJ region.
Paul Marriott, President, SAP Asia Pacific Japan, expressed his confidence in Colantuono's ability to drive growth in the region.
"Australia and New Zealand is a key market unit for the APJ region, as one of the fastest-growing regions globally for SAP. I am confident Angela's uncompromising focus on driving customer value, and building a strong partner ecosystem will support the next phase of growth in ANZ," he said. Marriott also thanked Bueno for his leadership over the last five years.
In her new role, Colantuono will focus on accelerating customers' move to the cloud and enabling digital transformation with SAP. This comes at a time when businesses are grappling with inflation, supply chain challenges, increased cyber threats, and regulation. Technology has become a critical tool in managing these complexities.
"As our customers navigate an increasingly complex operating environment with inflation, supply chain challenges, increased cyber threats, and regulation, technology has become critical to helping them respond to and manage this," she commented. "I look forward to working with our customers to help solve for many of these challenges and build operational resilience, leveraging SAP capabilities including Business AI to automate their processes, enhance the user experiences and improve their decision-making."
Locally, SAP has also just appointed former Sitecore A/NZ field marketer, Bronwyn Cook, as its new head of marketing. Prior to her three-and-a-half years with Sitecore, Cook worked for McCorkell and Associates as a senior account director. Her resume also includes marketing and account roles on both agency and client side.
Based in Melbourne, Colantuono will report directly to Marriott.
