Jolt energises EV advertising with in-app solution, Audi takes the wheel
JOLT, the Australian digital-out-of-home and electric vehicle (EV) charging network, is charging ahead with an in-app advertising solution allowing brands to engage with customers during their EV charging sessions at JOLT stations.
Audi, a foundation client of JOLT, has taken the pole position as the launch partner for this in-app advertising solution. The luxury automaker plans to utilise JOLT’s in-app ads and digital out-of-home network to promote its latest EV model, the Audi Q8 e-tron.
Kit Bashford, Audi’s Marketing Communications lead, sees the partnership as a strategic move in line with the company's mission.'\
"Audi has a clear mission in driving towards an electric future, so JOLT is a natural partner for us," he said. "The opportunity to reach and engage one-on-one with EV drivers in this unique, contextually relevant driving environment was a valuable opportunity as we launch the Q8 e-tron. JOLT provides the ability to effectively hyper-target and engage with our desired audience both at a broadcast and one-to-one level."
Hannah Pritchard, JOLT NSW Sales Director, highlighted the potential of the new advertising solution. "Delivering 100% share of voice, and a proven extended dwell time on the JOLT app, this solution provides market leading engagement, and is a powerful complement to traditional digital channels," she said. Pritchard also noted the significant growth of JOLT’s network usage base, which has reportedly increased by an impressive 602% in the past 12 months.
JOLT recently broadened its Australian footprint through partnerships with Transport for NSW, multiple local councils, and land owners. It has also made strides in New Zealand, with further expansion in Christchurch.
Internationally, JOLT announced a significant deal with TELUS this year for the rollout of 5,000 EV chargers across Canada. The company has also made its debut in the UK, with chargers now rolling out in London and thousands more planned across the country in the coming years.
