$1300 Tesla Powerwall offer targets cost-conscious homeowners

Commonwealth Bank (CommBank) is making a play for the burgeoning home battery market, offering customers a $1300 discount on the Tesla Powerwall 3 when purchased through Wattle Powr. The move comes in response to research indicating a significant interest among Australian homeowners in battery solutions, but a reluctance to commit due to upfront costs.

The research revealed that one third of Australian homeowners are interested in installing battery solutions, yet are deterred by the initial outlay. This is particularly true among the half of Australian homeowners who already have solar power installations and are considering battery solutions to further enhance their energy efficiency.

Wattle Powr, a registered business of UPowr, is facilitating the offer. The Tesla Powerwall 3, the latest home battery storage system from Elon Musk's tech giant, is the product in focus. The Powerwall 3 is designed to store solar energy for use during power outages, at night, or during peak grid times when electricity costs are higher.
