Ford Ennals steps down as CEO of Commercial Radio & Audio

Ford Ennals, CEO of industry body Commercial Radio & Audio (CRA), has announced his resignation, effective immediately. Chief Commercial Officer, Jo Dick, will assume the role of CEO while the Board undertakes a search for a new CEO.

Over two years as the Australian commercial radio body's CEO , Ford oversaw significant changes within the organisation, including a rebranding from 'Commercial Radio Australia' to 'Commercial Radio & Audio'.

Under Ennals' leadership, CRA launched 'Radio 360', a new industry audience measurement system that provides more robust listening data.

"Ford has made some great contributions during his tenure with CRA. We wish him well for his future role," said Chair of the CRA Board and CEO of ARN, Ciaran Davis.

Ennals is yet to shed light on his next role. "I've had the privilege to successfully guide the CRA through a key period of transition. I extend my gratitude to the CRA team and our members. I am confident that the commercial radio and audio sector is well-positioned for future growth and success," he said.

CRA represents 260 commercial radio stations across Australia, with members including Australian Radio Network (ARN), SCA, NOVA Entertainment, Nine Radio and ACE Radio Broadcasters. The organisation is the peak industry body, managing audio research and insights, metropolitan and regional audience measurement surveys, the Australian Podcast Ranker, revenue reporting, industry innovation, industry codes and standards, and regulatory and legislative matters.
