MG Motor Australia confirms leadership team across marketing, sales, HR, network and communications
MG Motor Australia has put the finishing touches on its new leadership team, with a focus on driving brand direction and evolving company strategy in the local market.
The team comprises of seasoned professionals, each bringing a unique skill set to the table, with a shared focus on the growing awareness of electric vehicles, community, accessories, and the expanding dealer network.
David Hearty (pictured) has been national marketing director for MG Australia for the last year and has worked across the automotive brand since 2017. His resume also includes roles with BMW and Audi Australia. Hearty's role is centred around driving a new brand direction and evolving the company's strategy.
"Mr. Hearty’s approach thus far has served him well within the business having worked across a range of campaigns including the original ZS, events and most recently before this appointment as the National Digital Manager for Australia and New Zealand," the company said in a statement.
David Giammetta has been in the role of PR and Communications Manager for MG Australia and New Zealand since May 2022. To date, MG said he has helped and continues to evolve and drive the Australian and NZ brand communications strategy as well as contribute to wider product planning, media relations, been an official spokesperson for the business and brought the brand’s storytelling to life through a customer and staffing lens.
Kim Nguyen is another team leader, and has been Sales Director for MG Motor Australia since December 2022. Her role involves overseeing the strategic direction and operations of the company alongside the CEO. She’s also tasked with driving initiatives to increase sales and market share, introduce new products, as well as strengthen partnerships.
Peter Corey sits in the role of Director of Network Development for MG Motor Australia, while Kenneth Lu Aftersales Director for MG Motor Australia and NZ. The company highlighted Lu's focus on implementing operational excellence paired with solutions focused customer centric service.
The newest recruit is Brad Chruszcz, who joined as National Sales Manager for MG Motor Australia after a stint with Mazda. Mark Roberts rounds out the team as Director of Network Development for MG Motor Australia and NZ.
MG said the appointments come at a time when MG Motor Australia is focusing on expanding its presence and driving growth in the Australian and New Zealand markets as well as pushing ahead to help transform the industry through electric vehicle adoption.
