Optus puts media agency account under review
Telecommunications giant Optus has put its media agency account up for review, a regular process it says is aimed at ensuring alignment in values and business outcomes.
The telco's incumbent media partner is IPG Mediabrands agency, UM, which recently brought on Matt Evans, formerly of Carat to be the managing partner of its Optus account. UM first won Optus in 2016 from Starcom MediaVest and retained the account in 2019, then again in 2021.
An Optus spokesperson stated, "As part of our commitment to high standards of service, Optus conducts a review of all agencies as part of our procurement process every three years. This regular review ensures that we continue to work with partners who align with our values and deliver high quality outcomes to meet the evolving needs of our business and customers."
Optus' creative agency is Emotive.
