Wil Anderson, Dale Thomas, Rosie Walton to fill in Triple M Melbourne breakfast after Sheargold's exit

Triple M Melbourne has a new temporary 'Triple M Breakfast' lineup in Wil Anderson, Dale 'Daisy' Thomas, and Rosie Walton, who will helm the show for the remainder of the AFL season until Friday, 4 October.

It follows the decision of Marty Sheargold to step back from the breakfast program to spend more time with family. The popular Triple M host is continuing with his podcast and national 3pm slot with the broadcaster.

Anderson, Thomas and Walton will commence their temporary gig from Monday 15 July. Triple M Breakfast will include appearances from regular guests, including Melbourne Football Club captain Max Gawn, AFLW star Sarah Hosking, with more guests to be revealed.

Triple M Breakfast kicks off Triple M's weekday lineup, which includes Workdays with Dangerous Dave, The Midweek Rub, and for the drive home, The Rush Hour with JB & Billy. The Rush Hour with JB & Billy recently saw its best survey results since 2019.

Anderson, who is a popular Australian comedian and host of ABC advertising program Gruen, said: "I am a huge fan of Rosie, Daisy, and Triple M. I’m ready to take off the sub vest and help the team charge towards a run deep into the finals. I reckon listeners are going to love what we’ve got ahead," said Anderson.

Thomas, a Collingwood premiership player, said: "I’m pumped to be setting an early alarm and having a laugh with the Triple M family every day for breakfast."

Walton has been a Triple mainstay for more than 20 years. She said: "I grew up listening to Triple M Melbourne and it's a privilege to be part of the station I love. I'm so excited to share the mornings with Wil and Daisy."

Triple M Melbourne Content Director, Jay Mueller, said: "We are thrilled to have the expertise of Wil, Daisy and Rosie to guide Triple M Breakfast through to the end of the footy season. These are three fantastic people, passionate about radio, music, and footy, who will create a show Melburnians will absolutely love."
