BINGE ignites a fiery feud with 'House of the Dragon' inspired hot sauces

BINGE has collaborated with Thinkerbell to launch a duo of hot sauces inspired by the popular series 'House of the Dragon'. The sauces, named 'REVENGE' (Green) and 'DRACARYS' (Black), are designed to allow fans to pledge their allegiance to the Green and Black Councils in the series.

The Black Sauce, 'Dracarys', features the spice of the Carolina Reaper, Scorpion and Birds Eye Chillies, boasting a Scoville Rating of 500,000 units. On the other hand, the Green Sauce, 'Revenge', contains Green Habaneros, Charapitas and Jalapenos, with a Scoville Rating of 35,000 units.

The sauces were created in response to the positive reaction to the launch of 'House of the Dragon' season two in Australia. The labels of the sauces reflect the feuding councils in the series, and each bottle is individually wax dipped and packaged in a limited edition case.

"Australia's reaction to the launch of House of the Dragon season two has been phenomenal. Inspired by dragons and the world of Targaryens, we’ve crafted these exclusive hot sauces to bring the intense rivalries of Westeros into kitchens nationwide. Our creation is set to ignite a legendary feud, and I’m so excited to see the reactions from fans as these sauces will literally make you breathe fire. We invite all fans to choose wisely and settle in with new episodes dropping weekly until Monday 22 July," said BINGE Marketing Director, Fiona King.

The campaign was covered across various Australian shows and pop culture titles, and celebrities were invited to test the sauces. "Ahhh ahh, oh my god. Aaahhhhh, hot-hot-hot-hot!" exclaimed Thinkerbell Chief Creative, Tom Wenborn, after trying the sauces.

Thinkerbell Head of Craft, Keir Vaughan, explained the idea behind the campaign. "The idea at its simplest is that dragon's breathe fire. So let's make hot sauces that are so hot, you breathe fire. Beyond that, we really wanted to get to the core of the bitter feud between Houses and express this as two distinctly crafted label design's that felt iconically representative of both Houses and their Dragon Sauce’s. Above all, design's that are highly collectable, sharable and loved. And hot".

A giveaway of the limited edition hot sauces was live across BINGE social channels. The work was shot on the lands of Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and the products were produced on Whadjuk Nyoongar lands.
