Campfire Digital Services wins Stadiums Queensland digital contract; appoints new head of design and state GM

Campfire Digital Services has secured the Stadiums Queensland contract to help rejuvenate the online presence of its key venues including The Gabba, Suncorp Stadium, Queensland Country Bank Stadium and several more.

Key features of the redevelopment include a mobile-first design and user-friendly website solution, robust content management systems, enhanced accessibility, a focus on resilience and cyber security as well as seamless integration with various third-party systems. These websites serve as essential portals for the 5.7 million annual ticketholders, visitors and users to the venues. The agency said deep Customer Experience (CX) engagement and User Experience (UX) research will be used to ensure the new sites align with Stadiums Queensland’s vision and mission

"We are extremely excited to be working with Stadiums Queensland on this important program. It’s a tremendous honour to be entrusted with such a vital project impacting millions of users interacting with Queensland's most iconic venues. We are humbled by this opportunity and look forward to leveraging our expertise to create world-class digital experiences for Stadiums Queensland,” said Tanner-Black.

The win comes as the digital consultancy announces Duncan Underwood as its new Head of Design and General Manager for Queensland. Underwood, who has been an associate of Campfire for the past two years, will now lead design initiatives for the company nationally and oversee the creative talent within the organisation.

"Duncan brings a wealth of experience and a human-centred approach to his new role," said Shayne Tanner-Black, Managing Director of Campfire. "His leadership and innovative insights will be instrumental in driving our design excellence nationally and client success in Queensland."

Underwood's career spans roles as Director of Operations at Digital Eskimo and Director at SympliCit, as well as founding and leading design consultancies Kinlab and Brunswick Design Services. His portfolio includes work with Swinburne University, Rest Superannuation, the Australian Sports Commission, Services Australia and Transport for NSW.

"I am honoured to step into this leadership position at Campfire. I look forward to collaborating with our clients and their communities in order to provide thoughtfully crafted and meaningful solutions to their problems," said Underwood.

Campfire Digital Services is a digital technology agency based in Sydney, Australia providing digital solutions across the country.
