Sydney unveils world's largest Lego store: A new landmark for brick enthusiasts

The LEGO Group, in collaboration with Alquemie Group, has set a new global record with the opening of the world's largest LEGO store in Sydney Arcade, overlooking the bustling Pitt Street Mall.

The store, spanning 900 square metres over two levels, outstrips all other LEGO outlets worldwide in terms of size.

The Sydney store is not just about size, it's also about experience. It is home to the first LEGO Minifigure Factory in Australia, and features large format brick features inspired by local icons and architecture. These include a model of the Sydney Harbour Bridge constructed from a staggering 549,378 bricks, a Sydney Opera House Mosaic made from 303,719 bricks, and a Rainbow Gum Tree, a tribute to Australia's unique flora, crafted from 183,394 bricks.

Troy Taylor, Vice President and General Manager, LEGO Australia and New Zealand, expressed his excitement about the new store.

"It's a great privilege to open the world's largest LEGO Store in Sydney. With immersive features, creative play experiences and playful nods to culture, Sydney's new store will give LEGO fans of all ages the chance to discover a wide range of LEGO products and exciting digital and physical experiences," he said.

Richard Facioni, Executive Chairman, Alquemie Group, echoed Taylor's sentiments. "This world class retail offering creates a new landmark for local families and LEGO fans from around the world. We invite fans to step into a world beyond their imagination, including brick-built playful nods to Australian culture and inspiring, interactive experiences," Facioni stated.

The store also offers a range of interactive experiences, including a Minifigure Factory, a Storytelling Table, a Pick and Build Wall, and hands-on play opportunities. Brick Specialists are on hand to assist customers, adding to the immersive LEGO experience.

This new store represents a significant milestone for LEGO, reinforcing its commitment to providing unique, immersive retail experiences for its customers.
