WiredCo expands earned media team following 450% surge

Independent agency WiredCo has made two new appointments to its earned media team, WireCast.

Jessica Nutt joins the agency as Senior Account Manager (Earned Media) from Liquid Ideas, where she led integrated comms campaigns for clients such as Makers Mark, Four Pillars, and Pernod Ricard.

Constance Nicolaou, formerly of Primary Comms Group, also joins the team as Senior Account Executive (Earned Media), bringing with her three years of experience across earned media, activations, and content creation.

The expansion follows a a 450% growth within the earned media division in the last 12 months, with the agency witnessing a 19% growth overall in the same period. It follows following a string of new client partners coming on board and expanded remits from existing clients.

The agency launched its earned media offering at the end of 2022 and has since grown revenue for the agency overall by almost 11%.

WireCast was developed by Managing Partner, Michelle Hampton, Founder and Managing Director, Angela Hampton, and Managing Partner, David Kennedy-Cosgrove, to complete the agency’s Brandformance approach to marketing. After founding Magnum & Co and selling the agency in 2021, Michelle aimed to develop a new way of approaching earned media that closed the gap between paid, owned, creative, and strategy.

“We believe what we’ve developed is unique to our industry and we’ve finally worked out how to meaningfully measure the impact of earned media.” She further adds, “Our view is that earned media could also be working much harder for brands so part of WireCast’s competitive advantage is how we tap into the smarts of performance marketing and SEO systems," said Hampton.

“Both Jess and Connie are absolute guns at their craft, and most importantly, they’re kind, caring and clever which is already proving to be a winning combo for our agency. We're looking forward to them bringing lots of mischief and mateship to help us create more magic for our clients," added Hampton.

WiredCo's key clients include Pizza Hut, R.M. Williams, Red Bull, Peters Ice Cream, Reckitt, The Iconic, Georg Jensen, and Indeed.
