Hubspot's research reveals complexity of Australian businesses app ecosystem

New research from HubSpot, a leading customer platform, reveals that the average Australian company switches between over 17 distinct applications to manage customer interactions. This juggling act is proving challenging for many businesses, with 27% finding the management of multiple channels and content types difficult. Over the past year, 63% of businesses reported that this issue has either worsened or remained the same.

High costs and expenses have also been a growing concern for 27% of businesses over the last year. Other challenges faced by Australian companies include intense competition (28%) and difficulty generating actionable insights from data (28%). In response to these challenges, HubSpot has launched multiple updates to its platform, including Breeze Intelligence, a data enrichment solution that pulls from over 200 million profiles to enhance customer records in its Smart CRM.

Josh Ames, RevOps Manager at Phocas Software, praised HubSpot's data enrichment feature, Breeze Intelligence, saying, "HubSpot's data enrichment feature quickly improved our data quality, leading to more effective campaigns and better alignment with our Ideal Customer Profile. 92% of companies in our CRM had at least one new enrichment property populated by the new feature. From my experience with other offerings, this is really good coverage.

HubSpot's research also reveals that high costs and expenses are the top challenge for Australian companies (40%), with 19% saying it’s their biggest challenge. Additional challenges include data security & compliance (31%), slow growth (29%), intense competition (28%), and difficulty generating actionable insights from data (28%).

20% of Australian businesses admit they haven’t started talking about generative AI at all. To address these issues, HubSpot has launched over 200 updates to its customer platform, including Breeze, an embedded AI, and Breeze Intelligence, a data enrichment solution.
