Leo Burnett Australia bolsters creative team with trio of new hires

Leo Burnett Australia has announced the addition of three new members to its creative team, appointing Lenna Boland as Group Creative Director, and James Beswick and Rowan Foxcroft as Associate Creative Directors.

Boland brings over two decades of experience to the role, joining the Publicis Groupe creative agency after 14 years with Ogilvy Australia in Melbourne, most recently as Group Creative Director. She will lead Leo Burnett's creative output in Melbourne, joining Sydney Group Creative Directors Tim Woolford and Tommy Cehak.

"I’m incredibly excited to be joining Andy Fergusson, Julia Sheehan, and the team at Leo Burnett. Their enthusiasm for people, culture and clients, combined with their ambition and proven commitment to producing great work is infectious. It’s an energy and creative vision I’m super chuffed to now be a part of. I can’t wait to roll up my sleeves, have fun, and get stuck in with gusto," said Boland.

Having worked together previously at Clemenger BBDO and Special Australia, creative duo Beswick and Foxcroft have experience across a borad range of clients from across sports, FMCG, telecommunications, travel and tourism, government, pets and alcohol sectors. Previously a Senior Copywriter and Senior Art Director, respectively, the pair describe the work they enjoy doing the most as non-traditional and fun.

The appointments follow the recent promotion of Andy Fergusson to Chief Creative Officer and Marjike Spain to Creative Director, as well as the appointment of CEO Clare Pickens.

“We are thrilled that Lenna is joining the team in Melbourne. She is not only very experienced but has managed to create award-winning work across big clients in some of the toughest categories in her career. She will inject a new energy into the already formidable Melbourne team. We’re also excited to have Bes and Rowan join our creative team. They have proven to be hard-working, fun and intelligent thinkers and have a couple of productions under their belt since joining,” said Fergusson.
