Jennifer Lopez breaks 10 year radio silence in Australia ahead of new album, Amazon Originals film: not a sex addict.

Jennifer Lopez, popularly known as JLO, has given her first Australian radio interview in a decade with the Hit Network’s Carrie and Tommy. The interview comes ahead of the release of her new album 'This Is Me… Now' and her Amazon original film 'This Is Me…Now: A Love Story'.

During the interview, JLO discusses her relationship with Ben Affleck, her new album, and her stance on sharing private moments.

In the interview, JLO denies being a sex addict, as suggested by her friends in her new movie, and instead identifies as a love addict or a workaholic. The interview can be listened to on the Hit Network’s Carrie and Tommy show, which airs from 3-6pm on weekdays, and also on LiSTNR.

JLO's candid conversation with Carrie and Tommy provides a glimpse into her life and mindset. She says, “I think we make the mistake, even with people on social media, that we know them, and that we know their lives. But the truth is that you really don’t know who people are and what they’re going through. Even when it seems like they have the best, most amazing life in the world, or when it seems like ‘oh god, they must be really messed up right now’, maybe they are going through a growth period… you just don’t know.”

When asked about the perception of her being a sex addict, she laughs and responds, “No, no (laughs). That’s why I laugh. People can think all kinds of things when they’re seeing you from the outside, thinking they know what your life is, and you’re like ‘well that’s actually the opposite of the truth’, but it was nice to toy around with all of those ideas.”

JLO also talks about her new album and the journey she has been on since her 'This Is Me.. Then' album, which she wrote twenty years ago when she was with Ben Affleck. She says, “Obviously, I’ve created a whole project that is an examination of that journey between the ‘This Is Me.. Then’ album that I wrote twenty years ago when Ben and I were together to ‘This Is Me … Now’ and wanting to share it with the world. They’ve followed me on that journey and watched me make mistakes and go in and out of relationships and wondered what was going on.”

She also expresses her pride in her new album, stating, “I feel like this is the best album that I’ve ever made. The most honest and true – it took a long time for me as a musical artist to get there. I’m really happy and proud of this in a way that I don’t think I ever have been before.”

JLO also discusses her boundaries when it comes to sharing her private life, stating, “When people are being disrespectful, you know what I mean, that’s a line for me. I’m happy to talk about my life, and I understand I’m a public person, and I share a lot of my life with the public. I do have boundaries though, when it comes to my kids, when it comes to my husband, and I think those are appropriate.”
