Sky News Australia has brought on former Nine Network Political Editor, Chris Uhlmann, as a Political Contributor

Uhlmann will be a regular contributor on the Credlin program, hosted by Peta Credlin, every Tuesday evening. His first appearance on the program is slated for Tuesday, 16 April at 6:00 pm AEST.

In addition to his role on the Credlin program, Uhlmann will join Chief News Anchor Kieran Gilbert on NewsDay for political analysis every Wednesday from 11:00 am AEST. He will also work on major Sky News documentary projects and special investigations.

Uhlmann was previously the Political Editor for the Nine Network from 2017-2022, a role previously held by Laurie Oakes. Prior to this, he spent two decades at the ABC, initially as host of its Canberra breakfast program, and later appointed Political Editor in 2015.

Uhlmann is also known for his work as a co-writer of a series of political novels set in Canberra, which were later adapted into the television series Secret City for Foxtel. He is also the co-author of the children's book The Useless Tune.
