oOh!media strengthens ties with Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras

oOh!media, a leading Out of Home company in Australia and New Zealand, has announced an extension of its partnership with the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras for the next two years. This move signifies oOh!media's commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for the LGBTQIA+ community.

The company has previously collaborated with the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras and Sydney World Pride in 2023 as the official Out of Home media partner. As a major media partner, oOh!media will return to the Mardi Gras parade route in 2025 with a float filled with its employees.

The Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, which will be celebrating its 47th year in 2025, will take place from 14 February to 2 March. The theme for the 2025 Mardi Gras, 'Free to Be', aims to celebrate progress towards LGBTQIA+ equality while acknowledging the ongoing global fight for true freedom and acceptance for all.

Chris Roberts, chief financial officer and executive sponsor of oOh!’s Pride Network, said, “As a creative, people-focused business, we thrive on diversity, and this partnership reinforces our resolve to create an environment where everyone can bring their full selves to work. By supporting the Mardi Gras, we’re reaffirming our company's purpose to make public spaces better and be a meaningful ally that reflects the rich diversity of the communities we serve.”

Gil Beckwith, CEO of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, expressed his delight at the extended partnership, stating, “We’re thrilled to extend our partnership with oOh!media, a company that shares our commitment to visibility, inclusion, and equality. Their presence amplifies our message across the city and beyond, reminding everyone of the importance of LGBTQIA+ rights and the celebration of our community. oOh!’s support has a genuine impact, and we welcome its continued involvement at Mardi Gras.”
