CSO Group, xAmplify merge to form AI and cyber services group MARQ1

Australian cybersecurity business CSO Group and automation systems and AI integrator xAmplify are merging to form a new brand, MARQ1. The new brand will launch upon the completion of the merger, making it Australia's largest home-grown integrated cyber security and AI services group.

The name MARQ1 is inspired by the synergy and shared vision between CSO Group and xAmplify, reflecting their goal to leave a lasting mark with their customers.

MARQ1 will be led by CSO Group CEO Michael Simkovic as CEO, with xAmplify CEO Wayne Gowland serving as COO. Other key leadership roles include Howard Fyffe as Chief Revenue Officer (National), Tom Scicluna as Chief Revenue Officer (Federal), Daniel Keys as Head of Strategy - AI & Automation, and Hank Clark as Head of Strategy - Cyber & Intelligence.

The unified MARQ1 brand will be launched across all platforms, including a new website, social media, packaging and marketing materials, starting 1st October, 2024. MARQ1 will enable government and enterprise clients to access the capabilities of both CSO Group and xAmplify, spanning strategy, governance, risk and compliance, managed security, AI and both technology and business automation services.

The merger of CSO Group and xAmplify into MARQ1 is expected to be finalised by 30th September 2024.
