TixSuite debuts new ticketing model to disrupt legacy systems in Australia

TixSuite, a fresh ticketing software model, has made its debut in Australia. The software, provided via subscription under parent company Eventfinda, aims to disrupt the traditional ticketing system by allowing users to collect 100% of their ticketing revenue upfront.

This is a significant departure from the current model of legacy ticketing services, which hold all the cash from ticket sales until after the event, causing cash flow issues for event organisers.

James McGlinn, CEO of Eventfinda and TixSuite, said venues and promoters in Australia have been left too long at the behest of an outdated ticketing model and legacy ticketing services, which leaves them with little or no control over fees or cash flow.

"Venues and promoters are forced to deal with legacy ticketing services that don’t allow them to collect revenue upfront, and force them to pass on 'junk fees' charged to ticket purchasers," he said.

TixSuite offers subscriptions to its proprietary software, giving venues, promoters, and event organisers more control over their ticketing. Unlike traditional ticketing services, TixSuite does not charge per-ticket fees to ticket purchasers or event organisers. TixSuite users can choose to charge a booking fee or no fees at all, with the fee amount set at the organisers' discretion.

"TixSuite has been designed with the express purpose of putting control back in the hands of those running events, through a straightforward subscription model," said McGlinn.

TixSuite offers three subscription tiers to choose from, with the first event free for up to 1,000 ticket sales sold within 90 days of going on sale.

Eventfinda, the parent company of TixSuite, started in 2006 as an events listing platform and has grown into New Zealand’s largest independent ticketing company.
