Grill’d burgers partners with DEPT for digital transformation

Australian burger brand, Grill’d, has chosen global digital agency DEPT to create its digital experiences.

The partnership was formed following a multi-agency pitch, with DEPT set to serve as an extension of Grill’d’s internal product, tech, and creative teams.

The collaboration has already seen the launch of Grill’d’s new iOS/Android app. The app has undergone a complete transformation, focusing on enhancing user experience and efficiency. New functionalities include revamped ordering for speed and convenience, easier access to benefits in the improved loyalty program 'Relish', and integration of the community program 'Local Matters'.

The back-end architecture of the app was re-engineered to eliminate redundant information handling, simplify the sign-up process, and facilitate effortless selection of preferred burger combinations for the 'Favourites' section. DEPT has also redesigned the Grill’d website, allowing customers to order favourites, cater parties, and donate to local matters all in one place.

DEPT has experienced significant growth in Australia over the last 12 months, adding several new clients including Pit Viper and Grill’d. The digital agency has offices in Sydney and Melbourne and a staff of over 150.
