News Corp Australia unveils publishing team for new Free News & Lifestyle unit

News Corp Australia has revealed the publishing team for its newly formed Free News & Lifestyle business unit. The division, led by Managing Director and Publisher, Pippa Leary, includes news.com.au, Escape, Taste.com.au, and Body+Soul among others.

Among the new appointments are Nitin Goel, previously General Manager, Group Strategy, who now takes the reins as General Manager, Audience, Product and Marketing with a remit to convert audience engagement into client outcomes and drive data-led insights and digital product management. Ryan Hedditch, former Head of Ad Product & Strategy, has been promoted to General Manager, Commercial Video & Audio and again has a focus on client product strategy.

Georgi Pell, previously General Manager, Partnerships, has been appointed as General Manager, Client Commercial. Paul Blackburn, former Director, Commercial Data, Video & Product, has taken on the role of Director, Commercial Data & E-commerce. Megan Gray has accepted the newly established role of Head of Commercial Product, tasked with leading the prioritisation, roadmap development and delivery of portfolio initiatives and lead client product delivery.

"Our new team brings together the leading experts in the Australian publishing, video and e-commerce space and reflects our strategic focus to drive both user engagement at scale and strong client outcomes across our suite of properties," Leary said.

According to Ipsos iris Online Audience Measurement Service July 2024 figures, News Corp Australia reaches four in five online Australians with an audience of 17 million.
