Dave 'Rabbit' Rabbetts to exit star 104.5 breakfast show after contract ends
NOVA Entertainment has confirmed that Dave Rabbetts, affectionately known as 'Rabbit', will be stepping down from the Star 104.5 Breakfast show at the end of his contract this year. Rabbetts has been a fixture at the Central Coast station since 2015, helping the Breakfast show maintain its position as the '#1 in market' for three consecutive years.
During his tenure, Rabbetts has been recognised with 11 Australian Commercial Radio Awards (ACRA) nominations, clinching the Best Entertainment/Music Presenter award in 2016 and 2017. His departure marks the end of an era for the station, which has enjoyed significant success under his stewardship.
Paul Moltzen, Star 104.5's Commercial Director & Market Lead, lauded Rabbetts' contributions to the station, describing them as 'immeasurable'. "Rabbit's unique style and commitment to the Central Coast community have been instrumental in the success of the Breakfast show," Moltzen stated.
NOVA Entertainment is expected to announce the new Breakfast show line-up for 2024 in the coming weeks.
