Attentive's conversational marketing platform fuels record-breaking cyber week sales
Conversational marketing platform, Attentive, has claimed a record-breaking Cyber Week 2023 helped power $1.8 billion in online sales.
In international markets, Attentive saw a significant increase in new subscribers. Australia and the UK reported an increase of over 600% and 400% respectively. The company says its AI-powered platform sent over 2.2 billion text messages on behalf of brands, with the highest volume dispatched on Black Friday.
These personalised text messages reportedly led to a significant 36.6% of mobile purchases. A considerable 45% of brands utilised AI-influenced messaging, resulting in more than 218 million AI-influenced messages being sent.
'This Cyber Week was the biggest in Attentive's history, as our conversational marketing platform played a pivotal role in driving the success for leading brands,' said Amit Jhawar, CEO of Attentive.
The company say its AI was not only used to send out messages but also to recover lost sales. Brands managed to recover a total of $148 million from abandoned carts, effectively converting browsers into buyers.
The optimal send time for texts was identified as noon, closely followed by 11am. Email sends, on the other hand, peaked at 10am, with noon being the second-highest time.
The top verticals by revenue for SMS and email during Cyber Week were Apparel, Health & Beauty, and Jewelry and Accessories.
This data underscores the growing importance of AI in marketing strategies, particularly in high-stakes periods such as Cyber Week. Attentive's success story serves as a testament to the potential of AI-powered conversational marketing in driving sales and converting potential customers.
