Scope3 and SeenThis collaborate with aim of delivering a greener advertising ecosystem

Scope3, a sustainability platform, has integrated SeenThis' ad format technology into its system, enabling advertisers to measure their emissions directly within the Scope3 UI.

SeenThis, an adaptive streaming specialist, has contributed its data and published its ad formats on the Scope3 collaborative sustainability platform.

SeenThis is built on streaming technology, and optimises towards less data to produce lower emissions. The latest feature update in Scope3 includes modelling for ad formats, demonstrating that SeenThis technology can result in lower emissions for advertisers compared to conventional technology.

"In order to make reduction decisions, we must have granular data about where emissions exist in the advertising supply chain, that includes understanding the unique emissions from the wide variety of ad formats that exist in the market today," said Gabi Kay, Head of Product for Creative and Production at Scope3.

"Over the last several months we worked closely with partners, like SeenThis, to refine and deliver a nuanced model for emissions at the ad format level. With this expansion of our model to include ad formats, users can easily see in our platform how SeenThis’ player enables a lower carbon result than conventional players."

SeenThis CEO, Jesper Benon, said working with the Scope3 platform is a step towards a more sustainable advertising ecosystem.
