Who Gives A Crap expands product range to tackle global sanitation crisis

B Corp certified toilet paper brand Who Gives A Crap has doubled down on its mission to tackle the global sanitation crisis, launching a range of garbage, dog poo, and compost bags in response to ongoing customer demand.

The new products are each are leak and tear-proof, designed for different purposes and end of life. The Garbage and Dog Poo Bags are made from 100% recycled plastic, while the Compostable Food Scraps Bags are made with plant matter and are 100% compostable.

"We donate 50% of our profits to help build toilets all over the world and for us to have the greatest impact, we need to grow our product range. And what better way than adding new fun essential products people use every day," said Co-founder of Who Gives A Crap, Simon Griffiths.

The brand's Sustainability Director, Bernie Wiley, highlighted the need for better education around rubbish disposal.

"Rubbish disposal can be incredibly confusing and misleading. While people may have good intentions, most are unfortunately disposing of their rubbish wrong. While it is best to reduce, reuse and recycle where possible, unfortunately, some rubbish is likely to end up in landfill. From a sourcing and production perspective, recycled plastic that ends up in landfill has the least impact on the environment. That’s why it’s our role to help educate our customers on the best possible option for their household essentials. We’ve tried to simplify taking out the trash, with one bag for each purpose and end of life."

The new range will be available from the brand's website from October 3, 2024.
