Paramount+ to premiere Top Gear Australia on 17 May
Paramount+ has confirmed that the inaugural season of Top Gear Australia will premiere on the streaming service locally on Friday, 17 May. The series will also debut in Canada on the same date, with subsequent premieres in Latin America, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, and Japan.
Hosted by Blair Joscelyne, Beau Ryan, and Jonathan LaPaglia, the show will take viewers on automotive adventures around the globe, including trips to the French Alps, Rome, St Tropez, and Colombia's jungle. The eight-part series is produced by BBC Studios Productions Australia.
The new series comes ahead of the launch of the streamer's new ad-supported tier, Paramount+ Basic (with ads), which is slated to go live in the Australian market in late June or early July.
The program joins other Australian Originals on Paramount+ such as Last King Of The Cross, Five Bedrooms, NCIS: Sydney, and The Inspired Unemployed (impractical) Jokers, with Fake streaming soon to join the lineup.
