Network 10 reclaims Big Brother in reality-filled 2025 programming slate

Network 10 has announced its programming lineup for 2025, with a blend of returning favourites and new shows. The lineup includes the return of popular reality TV show 'Big Brother', hosted by Mel Tracina, and the introduction of a new weekly show by Sam Pang, known for his role in 'Have You Been Paying Attention?'.

SVP Content and Programming, Paramount Australia, Daniel Monaghan, said: "Sam Pang has been part of the 10 family for over a decade and we’re delighted to have commissioned his brand-new show for 2025. Sam’s quick wit has kept Aussies laughing for years, and we know his fresh new program will give audiences exactly what they want. We are currently in the final stages of development, and we can’t wait to share it with viewers in the new year."

Of Big Brother's return, Tracina said: "I was one of the millions of Aussies captivated by Big Brother when it launched on Channel 10 in the early noughties. The show has such a loyal and passionate fan base, and I am excited to help bring back the show's original spirit (minus the flip phones and bum dancing)." Monaghan echoed this sentiment, adding, "Big Brother, the show that started it all, is coming back to 10 where it belongs. It’ll be bigger, better and bolder than ever before and we are thrilled to welcome Mel Tracina as host."

Other returning shows include the comedy quiz show 'Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation', with a new host and three new team captains, and two seasons of 'Australian Survivor'. The international comedy 'Ghosts' is being adapted by BBC Studios Australia for a local version, and the new comedy travel series 'The List' will follow Jack and Matt as they travel around the globe.

New series 'Todd Sampson’s Why?' will explore the motivations behind people's actions. Sampson explained, "‘Why?’ It’s our very first question. Our way of understanding the world. This series explores the ‘whys’ of some of the most fascinating people on the planet."

In addition to the entertainment offerings, Network 10 is also bolstering its sports programming.

Sport Production Director, Paramount Australia, Adam Cush, said: "Network 10 is entering a new era of sport, and we can already hear fans cheering from the sidelines. Whether you want your fix of the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix, double doses of Sunday hoops with the NBL, the adrenaline rush of the MotoGP World Championship or all the A-Leagues, CommBank Matildas and Subway Socceroos football action, we’ve got you covered."
