Amazon Prime Video teams up with Bein sports for live sports channel in Australia
Amazon Prime Video has taken a big stride forward with its sports offering, announcing a partnership with beIN SPORTS to provide a standalone live sports channel for Prime Video Channels in Australia.
The move marks the first time Amazon Prime Video has offered a standalone live sports channel in the country, further expanding its entertainment portfolio.
The service, available at $14.99 per month, comes with a seven-day free trial and the flexibility of anytime cancellation. It offers Prime members access to more than 3,500 live events annually, including high-profile football, tennis, and rugby tournaments.
"This new partnership with beIN Sports is an exciting step forward for Prime Video’s sports offering, and gives our customers more choice of the best live and on-demand sports, all in one place," Head of Amazon Prime Video Australia and New Zealand, Hushidar Kharas, said.
Mike Kerr, managing director of beIN Asia Pacific, highlighted the partnership's significance for beIN Sports.

The addition of beIN Sports to Prime Video Channels is part of a broader suite of benefits for Prime members in Australia. These include fast shipping on Prime-eligible orders, access to Amazon Music, Prime Reading, Prime Gaming exclusive deals, and more.
Prime Video Channels is accessible via the Prime Video app on supported smart TVs, Android mobile devices, Amazon Fire TV, Amazon Fire TV Stick, and other platforms.
