GWM switches media from Nunn to Atomic 212
Great Wall Motor (GWM) has appointed Atomic 212 to its media account, effective from December 2024.
The appointment follows a competitive pitch, with Atomic 212 taking over the remit from incumbent, and fellow indie media agency, Nunn Media.
Atomic 212 will now be responsible for GWM Australia's media planning and buying as well as SEO across Australia and New Zealand, with the global auto brand having seen significant growth in the Australian market, regularly securing top 10 industry sales results during 2024 with its range of Haval SUVs, GWM Cannon utes, Tank 4x4s and Ora EVs.
"We welcome Atomic 212 to the team. After a sustained period of growth, GWM is ready to take the next step towards becoming one of the region's leading auto brands and after meeting with Atomic 212, it became clear that they had the necessary tools, people and experience to help us with this exciting challenge," said GWM's Head of Marketing & Communications, Steve Maciver.
It follows the earlier appointment of Thinkerbell as GWM's new creative agency of record, replacing The Hallway, following a competitive pitch process.
"Steve and the team at GWM really impressed us with their clarity of vision, approach to collaboration and growth ambitions for the GWM brand in Australia. We're delighted to help further accelerate their marketing program by delivering on our smarter, faster, accountable media promise," said Atomic 212 National Managing Director, Rory Heffernan.
