IT consultancy Avanade has promoted Carla Ramchand to the role of Managing Director for Australia. Based in Sydney, Ramchand will be tasked with accelerating the growth of Avanade's Australian business and maintaining its market leadership in the Microsoft ecosystem.

Ramchand will also oversee Avanade's teams across Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney.

Ramchand joined Avanade in 2015 as Australia's Chief Operating Officer (COO) and has held various roles within the business. Prior to joining Avanade, she held key roles in Australia's technology and telecommunications sector, including Executive General Manager for Cybersecurity at IBM, and Head of Business Development and Head of Networks, Applications and Services Sales for Telstra's Enterprise and Government Business.
