Anthony Catalano's View Media Group appoints former Domain talent in leadership reshuffle

Anthony's Catalano's View Media Group (VMG) has made several new senior leadership appointments, including two of the media mogul's former Domain alum Sian Rowlands and Damon Pezaro.

Catalano, who was CEO of Domain until 2018, founded VMG in 2022 as a joint venture with billionaire investor Alex Waislitz. The company launch its own real estate listing site view.com.au in September last year.

The new appointments come as VMG looks to build out its brokerage offering via a new partnership with ANZ bank. “Our partnership with ANZ bank is a key differentiator in our business strategy and provides the opportunity for us to play seriously in the financial services space and the changes announced today set the business up to maximise this opportunity and future growth," said Catalano.

Catalano's vision is for the group to offer pre-approvals for prospective buyers and provide specialist financial services support to existing mortgage holders. “Building out the real estate superstore-of-the-future is the centrepiece of our business plan and within that, financial services is the largest category.," said Catalano.

Rowlands joins View Media Group as Managing Director of Financial Services, having formally spent six years at Domain, most recently as Director of Commercial Strategy, Planning and Growth, before a stint a property management technology business, Different. In her new role she will oversee VMG’s partnership with ANZ bank and expand the company's brokerage offering.

Perazo has been named as Chief Product Officer, overseeing product strategy and development for the group. During his time at Domain he was a key driver of growth, leading the company’s Product Development. Since leaving Domain in 2017, he has worked across multiple local and international high-growth businesses.

Perazo replaces Jordy Catalano who will transition from the Chief Product Officer role to a new role as Director of Consumer Services and Markets. Jordy Catalano was the co-founder of AD-Group where he built products and partnerships in the off-the-plan market.

Meanwhile, Barrie Bowles has been appointed as the Group Digital and Data Director. He will lead the digital and data strategy for the group. Bowles was previously the Digital Lead of property media and tech agency The Today Business.

Emily Rayner has been appointed as the Head of Content, with an initial focus on view.com.au’s content strategy. Rayner brings over two decades of experience in media production and content management, with key roles at major broadcasters such as BBC, ITV, Southern Cross Austereo and Nova.
