Aruga expands offering, launches design division

Independent integrated communications agency, Aruga, has broadened its service offering with the launch of a new design division, Aruga Studio. The new division, led by Art Directors Isaac Purcell and Jacob Brewer, aims to provide 'bold and impactful design solutions', complementing Aruga's existing marcomms expertise.

Aruga Studio was established in response to a growing demand for integrated design solutions from Aruga's diverse client base, which spans sectors including Tourism, Major Events, Arts & Culture, Retail, Education, Government, and Non-Profits. The agency has been providing design services to its clients for years, alongside its marcomms expertise.

"Aruga Studio is a natural extension of Aruga’s service offering, built on the trust and long-term relationships we’ve cultivated with clients who rely on us for comprehensive brand and reputation management," said Aruga Co-Founder, Donna Kramer. "For years, many of our loyal clients have trusted us to deliver design services alongside our marcomms expertise. Recognising the growing demand for integrated design solutions, we saw an opportunity to expand this capability by establishing a dedicated team focused on delivering both aesthetic and strategic excellence under one roof."

Aruga Agency Director, Tracy Llewelyn, welcomed the appointment of Jacob Brewer, who brings an extensive portfolio in sports, retail, arts and culture, and the non-profit sectors. "With Isaac and Jacob at the helm, we offer clients design solutions that go beyond aesthetics. Every project is backed by Aruga’s exceptional storytelling expertise, meticulous account service, and efficient project management systems."

Since its soft launch in October, Aruga Studio has secured high-profile projects including the brand evolution and site design for Ipswich City Council’s Nicholas Street Precinct revitalisation, a rebranding project for Travellers Group’s Yallungah Boutique Hotel in Orange, NSW, and design support for Queensland Theatre.

"We combine design, strategy and process to work as an extension of our clients’ teams, delivering thoughtful and effective design solutions without the complexity of larger agencies," Kramer said.
