Benedictus Media appoints ex-Havas ops leader Danielle St. George as new managing director amid major restructure
Benedictus Media, an independent media agency with B Corp status, has appointed Danielle St. George as its new Managing Director as former CEO Phil Benedictus steps down to focus on business development and sustainability.
St. George, who brings over 16 years of industry experience to the role, will be responsible for leading the agency and driving its next stage of evolution. Prior to joining Benedictus Media, she held the position of Head of Operations at Havas Media Network. St. George took a career break to travel around Australia before deciding to rejoin the media agency world.
"After an incredible year on the road exploring this beautiful country, I really wasn’t sure if diving back into the media agency world was the path I wanted to take. Until I met Phil and the Benedictus Media team - from the first interaction, I was instantly reinvigorated," said St. George.
Benedictus Media has been a B Corporation since 2016, focusing on Conscious Marketing and sustainability in advertising. The appointment of St. George is expected to further strengthen the agency's commitment to these areas.
"Danielle brings a winning Indie growth mindset allied with invaluable experience from the top end of town and a passion for nature and sustainability, giving her a unique perspective on structuring our agency for future success. Already she has raised the bar," said Benedictus.
St. George's operations expertise will be crucial in integrating planet-first thinking and measurement into all planning and buying products and processes at Benedictus Media.
"Phil has built something really special with Benedictus Media, and I am truly honoured to help build on the agency’s success while leading us through the next phase of our journey," added St. George.
