Aldi wins across category, Pharmacy 4 Less and Baby Kingdom make clean sweep in Finder and Dynata's top-rated retail brands
Pharmacy 4 Less and Baby Kingdom have triumphed as the most loved, trusted, top value and legendary customer service brands in a new Finder and Dynata list of the top-rated retail brands in Australia.
The findings are based on a survey of over 10,000 Australians, with brands rated on customer service, product range, value for money, trustworthiness, and product quality. The awards were divided into four categories per vertical: most loved, most trusted, top value, and legendary customer service.
Appliances Online also made a strong showing, winning six out of eight awards in the electronics and white goods retailer categories. Big W was voted the most trusted electronics retailer, while JB Hi-Fi was named the most trusted white goods retailer.
ALDI was the only other brand to win across several verticals including as the top value bottle shop and the top value and most trusted supermarket. Woolworths was voted the most loved supermarket brand, and IGA won the customer service award. First Choice Liquor took home three awards in the bottle shop category.
Home Hardware and Budget Pet Products won all awards except the most trusted brand award in their respective categories of hardware stores and pet stores - that went to Tradelink and Pet Barn, respectively. Chemist Warehouse was voted the most loved, most trusted, and top value in the makeup retailer category despite not winning the pharmacy category.
Tentworld won three awards in the outdoor retailers category, while Macpac took out the final aware as the most trusted brand.
Chris Jager, Finder’s retail specialist, said choosing where to shop can be really dependent on consumer needs.
"In this year's Customer Satisfaction Awards program we saw a few select retailers dominate their verticals but an exception was often the most trusted brand. For big ticket items it’s not uncommon for consumers to spend a little bit extra on a premium brand to make sure they’re getting the purchase right. However, trust and value aren’t always mutually exclusive which we saw in the supermarket category with ALDI taking out both awards," he said.
"Currently a lot of Aussies are tightening their purse strings and they really are seeking value - whether that’s through price matching, loyalty programs or just good quality products at affordable prices and I really want to commend the companies that are meeting their customers' needs at this time."
