Woolworths Carols in the Domain to return to live broadcast in 2024
Seven's national coverage of the Woolworths Carols in The Domain will this year return to live broadcast after a two year break, which saw a pre-recording of the well-loved Christmas event aired on the network at a later date.
This years broadcast will take place across Channel 7 and 7plus on Saturday, December 21, 2024, with audiences again able to experience the event in real time.
The 2023 event attracted over 2 million viewers and generated more than 9 million streaming minutes on 7plus, demonstrating the event's enduring popularity. The 2024 live broadcast is expected to build on this success, featuring performances from a star-studded line-up including The Wiggles, Samantha Jade, Rhonda Burchmore, Hugh Sheridan, Conrad Sewell, Budjerah, and others.
In addition to the musical performances, the event will feature choreography by Kym Johnson and the return of Musical Maestro, Chong Lim. Attendees in Sydney can also look forward to a winter wonderland, snowfall, and a fireworks display, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Carols Executive Producer of 36 years, Michael McKay, said: "The return to a live broadcast after several years is an exciting milestone for Woolworths Carols in The Domain in our long-standing partnership with the Seven Network. This event has always been about bringing people together and being able to share it live with the entire nation enhances that spirit of connection and celebration," he said.
