Special Australia has picked up Origin Energy's creative account following a competitive pitch process. The electricity, gas and internet provider confirmed the indie creative agency would be joining its agency roster, but would not provide further comment. 

M&C Saatchi is the incumbent on the account, having first won it off TBWA/Melbourne in a 2021 pitch. It is understood the agency will continue to work with Origin Energy, remaining on its agency roster alongside a selection of agencies that includes Houston and Alt/Shift. Mi3 has contacted M&C Saatchi for comment.

Atomic 212 has handled media for the business since 2016, with the business at the time reported to have been been worth $20 to $40 million.

Special declined to comment on the appointment.
