Selleys seals P&G marketer as new head of global marketing
Former P&G marketer, Endi Asmira, has taken the reins as the new head of global marketing for the Selleys brand at DuluxGroup.
It's a big move for Asmira, who has spent the last 12 years working for Procter & Gamble across a range of personal care and homeware brands including fairy, Olay, Pantene, Head & Shoulders, Gilette and Oral-B. for the past year, he's been the brand capability and commercial marketing leader overseeing a brand function with over 25 brand managers and directors. Prior to this, Asmira spent three years as the brand marketing director for Olay in ANZ.
Among his achievements over this tenure include leading the 'Force for good' P&G strategy in partnership with Mardi Gras, World Pride and TerraCycle, leading multi-brand marketing brands across the Olympics, Sustainability and more in partnership with retailers and agency partners, and leading category marketing for Home Care and Fem Care with direct reports and cross-functional teams.
Asmira began his brand professional career at Nike Singapore as a marketing intern. He started at DuluxGroup this month.
In a post announcing the appointment, recruitment firm, Hourigan International, said Asmira brought deep strategic, commercial and innovative marketing thinking to the DuluxGroup team.
"His successes include delivering the best-ever year for their Hair Care portfolio in Australia, transforming their Beauty business in South Korea, re-inventing their Skin Care business model, launching new product innovation on Olay serums, and bringing younger millennials into the Olay portfolio helping make Olay the number one brand for women of all ages," the recruitment firm stated.
Asmira will now oversee Selleys portfolio growth locally and globally, from adhesives to sealants and fillers "with a strong focus on innovation". He replaced Mark Friesen, who has been head of global marketing for Selleys for the last 18 months and worked on the brand since March 2022.
