Gawk Outdoor expands into Regional NSW with Newcastle billboards

Gawk Outdoor, an Out-of-Home (OOH) advertising provider in Regional Victoria, is making its first significant venture outside its traditional stronghold with the launch of four new digital billboards in the greater Newcastle area on November 18, 2024.

Gawk's expansion into Regional NSW marks a new chapter for the company, which has been a dominant player in Regional Victoria's OOH advertising sector. The new digital billboards in Newcastle will feature Gawk's signature 'Super8' format, which has proven successful in Victoria.

In line with this expansion, Gawk Outdoor has appointed Sam Brown as the Director of Sales for NSW. Brown, who has a background in media and sales, has previously worked in OOH advertising at JCDecaux and led local sales teams across Newcastle's SCA & NBN Radio & Television stations.

"This is bloody exciting for our business,” said Gawk Director James Course. "These first four panels across the Hunter are already proving popular across local clients since opening presales.”
