V2food appoints former amaysim, Koala marketer Mark Khademi as first head of digital

Australian plant-based ingredients company, V2food, has appointed Mark Khademi as its first Head of Digital.

Khademi, a former marketing leader at amaysim, Koala, and Mojo Power, will report to General Manager for ANZ, Nathaniel Tupou. His appointment comes eight months after the departure of V2food’s first Chief Growth Officer, Andrew May.

V2food, founded in 2019 and incubated with the CSIRO, recently expanded its portfolio by acquiring ready-meal brands Soulara and MACROS. The company also launched its own ready-made meal business in 2022.

Prior to joing V2food, Khademi, was most recently director of growth marketing for Spacetalk, a wearables mobile and software subscription business. His resume also includes senior sales and marketing roles with Naked Wines, Koala, Optus, Amaysim and Mojo Power. He also previously worked at Australian Power and Gas in general management and product management positions.

In the new role, Khademi will focus on driving growth for the company's subscription brands.

“I really admire the company's commitment to sustainability and its mission to create plant-based alternatives that that can ‘feed the planet in a way that takes care of the planet’,” said Khademi. “V2food is a true innovator in the food space, partnering with institutions like the CSIRO.”
