Hnry targets 1.5 million sole traders with new end-of-financial year campaign

Fintech company Hnry has launched a new campaign aimed at the 1.5 million sole traders across Australia, as they prepare for the end of the financial year (EOFY).

The campaign is designed to raise awareness and educate traders about Hnry's unique proposition: a full accounting and tax automation service with real humans behind the scenes.

The campaign, created in-house at Hnry with the assistance of boutique agency Ouzo and their team of freelancers, was launched in May and is now rolling out across Australia. It utilises multiple touchpoints including socials, BVOD, Linear TV, OOH, Print and Radio.

The campaign is designed to highlight the human and accounting aspect of Hnry's service, which the business is looking to position as its distinctive assets against typical accounting software. The creative centres around Hnry’s team of experts that sole traders get as part of the service.

"The end of financial year is a challenging time for sole traders, who spend on average 7 hours per week managing their tax and financial admin," said Head of Marketing at Hnry, Brandon Palmer. "This campaign celebrates the humans behind the magic of Hnry, who provide real-time tax and admin support for sole traders - saving them a huge amount of time and money.

"Our team spends all day thinking about tax so that our customers don’t have to, and can instead focus on building their businesses. Tax is boring, but Hnry isn’t - so it was important that this campaign feel as scrappy, bright, and relatable as everything else we produce."

Founded in Wellington in 2017, Hnry opened its first Sydney office in 2020. The company processes billions of dollars worth of payments every year across Australia and New Zealand.

Hnry recently won the People’s Choice Award for ‘Fintech Organisation of the Year’ for the second year running at the 2023 FinTech Australia ‘Finnie’ Awards.
